How this index is compiled

Beauty Tech Index records device specifications and terminology as published by manufacturers and regulators, together with the document each value came from.

What we record

Each entry lists only values that appear in a cited document, with the date the document was checked. Where a manufacturer publishes a range, the range is reproduced rather than reduced to a single figure. Values we could not confirm are omitted.

What this site is not

Corrections

If a specification here no longer matches the source document, the entry is updated and the checked date is changed. Operator and contact details are published before the index opens to search engines.
